Luisa's hand painted chairs

Luisa delightfully arranges her hand painted chairs around the kitchen table where her family gathers for meals. With fresh tortillas warming on the iron hotplate and smells waft from the mole steaming on the stove, she takes a break for a cup of lemonade and admires the brush work Carolina applied to the backs of her floral chairs. The designs were taken from pottery of her neighboring village, designs from paper flowers and a flowering vine off the terrace. The cushions are made from Mexican inspired bright cotton fabrics trimmed in rickrack of various colors. Her heart warms with the sight of her grandchildren climbing up to the table for the afternoon meal.
