Ellen's tie-dyed placemats

Ellen has three sons spirited beyond their years. When they come to dinner, she likes to educate them on the pleasures of entertaining, setting a table right and serving a dish, especially for a nice woman who might have their babies someday. The boy's chatter about the subjects they love, travel, film and fame...but are never-the-less polite in receiving her advice. She sets the table with her indigo napkins and brings her casserole to the table wrapped in one. It's beautiful like the ocean ripples. The room is quiet. The eldest affirms aloud, as one by one the other boys nod their heads, "Maybe we simply bring the girls home to admire your good taste Ma?" Momma Ellen smiles and paused the lesson...for now.
