Little Miss Ashley turned eight years old with a stethoscope 'round her neck. Her pockets were always filled with candy aspirin and her dollies were adorned with arm braces and bandages. Her friends gathered 'round when she blew out the candles and opened her favorite present: an honest to goodness doctor's medical bag her daddy gave her! She squealed with delight snd carried the bag around everywhere, imagining her room to be her office. The bottom seam sprung a bit from squeezing her nurse Nancy doll inside, but it didn't matter to Ashley. She carried that bag for years and finally onto the airplane that took her off to medical school.
