Iris' indigo tie-dyed lunch cloths

Iris wrapped everything in her indigo tie-dyed cloths. Often it was her sandwich and fruit wrapped in two knots. When she handled her cloth, she noticed the layered depth of pattern in the saturated indigo linen.  The weight of the tightly woven fabric, added to their usefulness she imagined, for years to come. She tied up her photos, her letters, her sewing notions, and even her art supplies, in little satchels and set them on her wall shelf or window ledge to capture the light. Indigo always made her smile.

Four-20/21" square napkins.
